It’s Sunday already? Where did last week go?
Being Sunday, we went up early morning to see the boys, and get in as many feeding opportunities we could. Our nurse told us how both boys had been champs with bottles, and Liam even at an extra 10ml of milk. We thought we had a successful day ahead of us, which was partially true.
Aiden is always up since his cares are always first. Let’s just say he decided to goof off today. He wanted nothing to do with feeding with Mom. He just cried and squirmed and didn’t want to cooperate. He did however, take his first feeding via the bottle, which is a good thing. We just wish he’d feed with Mom. His second feeding he again goofed off and fell asleep, and ended up taking his feeding through his feeding tube. Liam took his first feeding from Mom, and did great. His second feeding was via the tube since he was out cold.
Amy and I went on a small adventure during our lunch break. We walked over to Primary Childrens to check out their cafeteria. It was nice, and the food was better and way cheaper.
When we came back, we spent the rest of the afternoon cuddling kiddos and sleeping. Both Amy and I ended up taking naps with the boys. It was great. Nothing like rocking in a chair with a little kid in your arms and taking a nap! It’d be better if there weren’t any cables or tubes all over the place, but hey, we have a lot less than before.
One part of the day that kinda made us jealous, was that the boy’s little neighbor in their room got to go home today. The parents were there with car seats, and going through check lists and talking about all that was going to go one when they got home. We can’t wait for that day to come for us, and hope it’s in the next couple weeks.
After the NICU, we went over to Amy’s parents to enjoy a nice dinner and a competitive game of Sequence! Sad to see the weekend over already.
